Game development tools and platforms that are free!!!
Scratch: Scratch is free to use and can be accessed online or downloaded to a computer.
Roblox: Roblox Studio, the game creation platform for Roblox, is free to download and use. However, there are optional in-app purchases that can enhance the game development experience.
Unity: Unity has a free version called Unity Personal that can be used for non-commercial projects. A paid version, called Unity Plus, is available for $35 per month.
Construct: Construct has a free version called Construct 3 Free that allows for the creation of up to 25 events per project. A paid version, called Construct 3 Personal, is available for $5 per month.
Kodu: Kodu is free to download and use.
GameMaker Studio: GameMaker Studio has a free version called GameMaker Studio 2 Free that allows for the creation of up to 100 events per game. A paid version, called GameMaker Studio 2 Desktop, is available for $99.
Minecraft Modding: Minecraft itself must be purchased, but the tools needed for modding, such as Java and the Minecraft Modding API, are free.
Godot: Godot is free and open-source.
It is worth noting that some of these platforms may offer additional paid features or services beyond what is included in the free versions.
